Nylon has very high mechanical strength, a high softening point, and excellent heat resistance. Under normal conditions, its operating temperature is -40" C+100" C. It has a low coefficient of friction, good wear resistance, self-lubricating properties, shock absorption, and noise reduction. It is resistant to weak acids, alkalis, and general solvents. It also offers good electrical insulation and self-extinguishing properties. Nylon is non-toxic, odorless, and has good weather resistance. Nylon has excellent compatibility with glass fibers, making it easy to reinforce. Nylon has a flammability rating of UL94 V-2 and an oxygen index of 24-28. In addition, nylon can be modified, such as into monomer-cast nylon and antistatic nylon.
