Polyimide
Polyimide is one of the engineering plastics with the highest heat resistance. It can maintain high physical and mechanical properties over a wide temperature range from -269 to 400C.

It can also be used continuously in air at temperatures from -240 to 260°C.

DuPont VESPEL is the most representative product series of polyimide (PI) plastics.

WSPEL-SP1 (brown): The basic grade, providing the highest mechanical strength and electrical properties.

WSPEL-SP21 (black), a grade filled with 15% graphite, provides wear resistance and heat resistance.

VWSPEL-SP211 (black), filled with 15% graphite and 10% PTPE, provides the lowest coefficient of static friction. Suitable for use in medium-temperature environments.

VWSPEL-SP22 (black), a grade filled with 40% graphite, provides the lowest coefficient of expansion and the highest creep resistance.

WSPEL-SP3 (black), a grade filled with 15% platinum disulfide, is suitable for applications requiring frictional sliding in vacuum or inert gas environments.
